Community Rules

COMMUNITY RULES PAGE

General Eligibility

1. Membership Prerequisites

In order to participate in this community and its affiliated servers, all prospective members must meet the following minimum eligibility standards. These requirements are non-negotiable and exist to ensure both legal compliance and the maintenance of a safe, immersive environment.

  • Age Requirement: Members must be at least seventeen (17) years of age. This requirement reflects the official M for Mature (17+) rating issued by the ESRB for Grand Theft Auto V.
  • Audio Requirement: Members must possess a functioning microphone with clear and consistent audio quality, as voice communication is essential to immersive roleplay.
  • Language Requirement: Members must demonstrate fluency in the English language, both written and spoken, in order to maintain coherent interactions and consistent server-wide communication.
  • Experience Requirement: Members must possess a reasonable degree of prior roleplay experience to ensure meaningful contributions to the collaborative roleplay environment.

Failure to meet or maintain these prerequisites shall constitute sufficient grounds for denial of membership or removal from the community at the discretion of server administration.

Respect & Mindfulness

2. Expectations of Conduct

All members shall conduct themselves in a manner respectful of the shared roleplay environment and mindful of the experiences of others. This extends to both In-Character (IC) and Out-of-Character (OOC) contexts.

  • Rule of Doubt: If you must question whether an action is permissible, it is likely impermissible. In such instances, err on the side of restraint or seek clarification from staff.
  • Creative Responsibility: Dialogue, roleplay interactions, and story-building must remain considerate of others. Members shall remember that the community exists to create a world distinct and separate from the real world, one where immersion and collaboration take precedence.
  • Community Preservation: Actions, whether IC or OOC, that undermine the spirit of fair roleplay, disrupt immersion, or cause unnecessary harm to others shall be deemed detrimental and subject to sanction.
Zero Tolerance Policy

COMMUNITY RULES PAGE

Zero Tolerance Policy

1. Policy Regarding Hateful Conduct

This community enforces a Zero Tolerance Policy against abusive, harassing, or toxic conduct occurring Out-of-Character (OOC). Any violation of this policy will result in immediate action, including indefinite suspension or permanent ban from the server and all affiliated platforms.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Toxic or incendiary behavior, such as making unjustifiably derogatory remarks about community members in public forums or voice channels
  • Consistent negativity or morale sabotage, including persistent undermining of community direction, deliberate exaggeration of disputes, or attempts to agitate and unsettle others
  • Hate speech or intolerance, including derogatory language or actions directed at another person's religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, physical/mental disabilities, or encouraging/telling another person to commit suicide or self-harm.
  • Harassment, stalking, or predatory conduct toward members of the community, whether within the server or on external platforms directly tied to community activity

Any determination of whether a member has violated this policy rests solely with community administration, whose judgment shall be final and binding.

ENFORCEMENT

2. Rule Enforcement

Violations of these Rules will result in immediate and permanent removal from the community. We do not provide warnings for hateful conduct - it is an instant ban offense.

Twitch & Discord

COMMUNITY RULES PAGE

Twitch & Discord

1. Rules Regarding Twitch

While playing on our server, all members must adhere to the Twitch Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times:

2. Stream Sniping

Stream Sniping - defined as watching a stream to gain an in-game advantage or to locate other players - is strictly prohibited.

  • You may not be in any stream other than your own while you are active on the server.
  • Being present in a stream while on the server may be considered evidence of Stream Sniping and/or Metagaming, and is subject to disciplinary action.

Discord Rules

2. Rules Regarding Discord

While interacting within our community Discord, members must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines:

2. Community Conduct

  • Always use the appropriate channels for chatting and posting content. Posts made in the wrong channel may be removed without notice.
  • Direct Messaging (DMing) Staff is only permitted if the issue is severe in nature or if a staff member has explicitly invited you to do so.

ENFORCEMENT

3. Rule Enforcement

Educational intervention is first for minor violations. Major offenses result in immediate action.

  • Minor Violations: Education → Warning → Mutes/Temp Bans.
  • Stream Sniping: 7-30 day ban (first), permanent ban (repeat).
  • Severe Violations: Immediate permanent removal (harassment, threats, TOS violations).
General RP Rules

COMMUNITY RULES PAGE

Metagaming

1. Prohibition of Out-of-Character Information Use

Metagaming - defined as the use of information obtained Out-of-Character (OOC) by a character who has no reasonable In-Character (IC) means of acquiring such knowledge - is strictly prohibited. This rule preserves the integrity of the roleplay environment and ensures fair immersion for all participants.

Examples of prohibited metagaming include:

  • Hearing through a Discord call that your friend’s gang is being raided, then logging into the server and intervening, despite your character having no IC knowledge of such raid.
  • Discussing OOC matters on Discord (e.g., arrests, raids, hidden locations) and then roleplaying as though your character discovered these events IC without proper in-game roleplay discovery.
  • Watching a live stream or recording that reveals hidden stashes, bases, or events, and then acting on that knowledge IC without discovery through legitimate RP.

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

2. Requirement of Roleplay Justification

Random Deathmatch (RDM) is defined as causing harm to another character without clear, reasonable, and roleplay-justified cause. Characters must always engage in logical, immersive roleplay prior to escalating to violence. This applies equally to on-foot and vehicular interactions.

Examples of prohibited conduct include:

  • Witnessing an armed robbery between strangers and, without any IC buildup, immediately attacking the shooter in an attempt to “play hero.”
  • Identifying a gang member you dislike while on foot and attacking them without dialogue, threats, or roleplay initiation. (This constitutes RDM + failure of initiation.)

Powergaming

3. Prohibition of Forced Outcomes

Powergaming is defined as unreasonably forcing outcomes upon other players or exploiting mechanics to obstruct or dominate roleplay. Members are prohibited from removing the element of choice from other players or creating scenarios that cannot be reasonably contested within RP.

Examples of prohibited conduct include:

  • Forcing lasting injury without player consent. (e.g., using /me cuts off your hand and expecting compliance.)
  • Creating an OOCly binding scene such as: “Door is locked, impossible to open or break”, thereby preventing fair roleplay interaction. Such absolute declarations are unenforceable.
  • Applying the same restrictive declarations to props, surveillance cameras, or similar items in an attempt to block RP avenues.

No Value of Life (NVL)

4. Character Survival and Decision-Making

While characters are expected to reasonably value their lives, the choice to fight, flee, or comply remains entirely up to the player. No Value of Life (NVL) in this community is not about forcing compliance, it’s about maintaining believable roleplay when facing danger.

Players should act in a way that reflects their character’s state of mind, fear, or experience. Choosing to resist or defend yourself is acceptable, but it should come with the understanding that the opposing party has every right to respond with lethal force within roleplay context.

Characters are encouraged to comply when another party clearly has the advantage (e.g., a weapon drawn, surrounded, or otherwise outmatched), but compliance is not mandatory. However, failure to roleplay fear, injury, or consequence realistically may still constitute NVL.

  • Running, fighting, or resisting at gunpoint without any realistic advantage or escape plan.
  • Ignoring severe injuries, pain, or incapacitation following a violent encounter.
  • Roleplaying fearlessly in a situation where any reasonable person would experience panic, hesitation, or fear for their life.

In summary: Players are free to make bold or risky choices, but those choices should have realistic consequences. Value your character's life through believable reactions, not enforced compliance.

Initiation of Hostilities

5. Requirement of Roleplay Conflict Initiation

Before engaging in any hostile or violent action, players must initiate conflict through roleplay. Hostilities may only commence after an appropriate and reasonable RP buildup has occurred, granting the other party opportunity to respond.

Examples of valid initiation include:

  • Party 1: "Don’t move or I’ll shoot!" → Party 2: raises hands, "Don’t hurt me!"
  • Party 2 (if leverage exists): "You just made your last mistake!" → pulls firearm → hostilities commence.

Any act of aggression absent of such initiation shall be considered a breach of community conduct and subject to sanction.

Combat Logging

6. Leaving During Active Roleplay

Combat Logging happens when a player leaves the server while an active situation is still in progress. This includes any scene involving conflict, police activity, injury, or other roleplay that would normally lead to an in-character result.

Players should always remain in-game until the entire situation has wrapped up, including any aftermath such as medical treatment, arrests, or recovery. Exiting early breaks immersion and cuts short the experience for others who are still participating.

  • Quitting during or immediately after a police chase, shootout, or robbery.
  • Leaving the game after being injured, restrained, or detained without allowing the scene to finish.
  • Failing to return or follow up after a legitimate crash or timeout once the server is accessible again.

If a real issue or crash forces you offline, you’re expected to reconnect as soon as possible or message staff to let them know what happened. Repeated or suspicious disconnections will be handled as intentional combat logging.

If a situation makes you angry or uncomfortable, do not respond by logging out. Step away for a moment, manage your frustration, or reach out to staff if something feels unfair. Once the scene is over, you may submit a player report through the proper channels. Staying calm and finishing the scene ensures respect for everyone’s roleplay.

In short: never leave mid-scene to escape consequences or disagreement. Stay in character, handle it through roleplay, and address any problems afterward.

ENFORCEMENT

7. Rule Enforcement

Educational intervention is first for standard violations. Severe violations result in immediate action.

  • Standard Violations: Education → Warning → Rule Review → Temp Bans (3-30 days based on severity).
  • Severe Violations: Immediate permanent ban (mass RDM, deliberate powergaming, malicious metagaming).

Staff consider context, intent, and severity.

Gang Rules

GENERAL GANG RULES

Gang Representation and Warfare

1. Gang Colors and War Initiation

When representing a gang by wearing gang colors, members acknowledge that they are actively representing their organization and may be subject to gang warfare protocols. In the event of gang war initiation or continuation, members wearing their gang colors may be initiated against without prior roleplay interaction, as their visual representation serves as sufficient justification for hostile action.

This rule applies when:

  • An active gang war is declared between organizations
  • Gang members are visibly representing their organization through colors, symbols, or other identifying markers
  • The conflict is ongoing and both parties are aware of the hostile relationship

Note: This exception to standard RDM rules only applies during active gang warfare and when gang representation is clearly visible. All other roleplay standards and rules remain in effect.

ENFORCEMENT

2. Rule Enforcement

Educational intervention is first for standard violations. Intentional abuse results in immediate action.

  • Standard Violations: Education → Warning → Temp Bans (3-14 days).
  • Leadership Violations: Removal from gang leadership for non-compliance.
  • Intentional Abuse: Immediate suspension/permanent ban for circumventing RDM rules.

Gang leaders are responsible for member compliance.

RP Character Rules

RP CHARACTER RULES

Character Rules

1. Character Creation Standards

All characters must be created with originality, appropriateness, and compliance with server standards. Characters must contribute to the immersive roleplay environment and avoid conflicts with real-world legality or intellectual property protections.

The following conduct is prohibited:

  • Copying or imitating another player's established character concept.
  • Using vulgar, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate names, including those that would violate Twitch Terms of Service.
  • Creating characters under the age of eighteen (18). All characters must be adults.
  • Roleplaying copyrighted characters, or creating close imitations of existing personalities (e.g., portraying a famous real-world individual).

Sci-Fi and Supernatural RP

2. Requirement of Realism

Characters must remain grounded in the shared reality of the server. While eccentric or unusual beliefs may be roleplayed (e.g., a character who believes themselves to be a vampire), the server's objective reality always overrides character delusion. Immersion must remain consistent with the human-centered world established in RP.

Voice Changers

3. Regulation of Voice Modification

Voice changers and modifications are permitted only if they do not break immersion or disrupt the roleplay environment. Use of VOIP is mandatory; text-only or mute roleplay is not permitted without explicit permission from staff.

Specific restrictions include:

  • If a voice modification produces artificial, robotic, or otherwise immersion-breaking effects, staff may require it to be removed.
  • Text-based or mute roleplay is expressly prohibited, unless the character becomes deaf or mute through roleplay. This server is a Voice RP environment. If you are unable to use VOIP, you may not participate.

ENFORCEMENT

4. Rule Enforcement

Educational intervention is first for all character violations.

  • Character Standards: Education → Mandatory modification/recreation → Warning → Temp Ban (3-7 days).
  • Voice Changer Issues: Staff request removal, server removal for non-compliance.
  • Repeated Violations: Permanent ban for unwillingness to comply.
RP Scenario Rules

RP SCENARIO RULES

Prohibited Roleplay Topics

1. Strictly Forbidden Content

Certain subjects are absolutely prohibited within the community roleplay environment. These restrictions exist to maintain a safe, respectful, and immersive experience for all participants. Violation of this section may result in immediate administrative action, up to and including permanent removal.

The following topics are expressly forbidden:

  • Roleplay involving slavery or human trafficking.
  • Roleplay centered around racism, sexism, or any hate-based group affiliation.
  • Roleplay of sexual assault, rape, or comparable acts of violence.
  • Roleplay reenacting real-world tragedies.

Staying In-Character (IC)

2. Obligation to Maintain Character

Players are required to remain In-Character (IC) at all times while participating in the roleplay environment. Immersion is the cornerstone of this community; as such, deliberate or repeated Out-of-Character (OOC) breaches are not tolerated.

Guidelines include:

  • Remain IC at all times. If another player breaks character, continue roleplay as best as possible and report the incident later rather than escalating it OOC.
  • Avoid OOC terminology such as "third eye," "G muscle," or similar references to game mechanics when speaking IC. Instead, find immersive alternatives.
  • Do not refer to staff or administrators with in-character terms such as "Gods," nor refer to reports as "prayers" or comparable language. Administrative functions are separate from roleplay.

Death, Revival, and Character Memory

3. Post-Revival Roleplay

When a character is revived on scene by EMS, the player may choose whether their character remembers the events leading up to their death or roleplays memory loss.

If a character is revived at a hospital by medical staff or the Doctor NPC, they are considered to have undergone full recovery and must roleplay memory loss of all events prior to being transported.

  • On-scene EMS revival: Player choice to remember or forget.
  • Hospital or NPC revival: Mandatory memory loss.
  • Memory loss cannot be used to avoid consequences or alter RP outcomes.

ENFORCEMENT

4. Rule Enforcement

Educational intervention is first for minor violations. Severely prohibited topics bypass education.

  • Severe Prohibited Topics: Immediate permanent ban (ERP, sexual assault, hate-based RP).
  • Other Prohibited Topics: 7-30 day ban (first offense), permanent ban (repeat).
  • Minor Violations: Education → Warning → Temp Bans (1-7 days).

Staff maintain discretion based on context and impact.

RP Mechanics Rules

RP MECHANICS RULES

Exploiting and Glitching

1. Prohibition of Exploits

All players are obligated to report bugs, glitches, or exploits immediately upon discovery. The use of any exploit for personal advantage is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to wiping of gains, suspensions, or permanent bans.

Examples of prohibited conduct include:

  • Failing to report discovered bugs or glitches.
  • Exploiting bugs (e.g., glitching through walls, loot cycling, duplication exploits).
  • Retaining or benefiting from items, currency, or advantages obtained through an exploit.
  • Engaging in crimes, robberies, or competitive activities within fifteen (15) minutes before or after a scheduled server restart.
  • Trading items between your own characters in any way or engaging in activities using multiple characters.

All exploit-related infractions will be subject to administrative judgment, and penalties will be final and binding.

External Communications

2. Use of Out-of-Game Platforms

Players are prohibited from using external communication platforms (e.g., Discord voice, TeamSpeak, etc.) to coordinate or influence active in-game roleplay. All roleplay interactions must occur within the server VOIP environment to preserve fairness and immersion.

Permitted uses of external communications include:

  • Aligning schedules to coordinate when roleplay will occur.
  • Pre-planning business or organizational roleplay structures (but not active scenarios).
  • Sharing realistic IC files or documents. Businesses, gangs, and community groups may use external servers strictly for out-of-game community building or admin-approved planning.

ENFORCEMENT

3. Rule Enforcement

Educational intervention is first for unknowing violations. Intentional exploitation results in immediate action.

  • Accidental Exploiting: Education + asset removal, no further penalty.
  • Intentional Exploiting: Asset wipe + 7-30 day ban (severity based), permanent ban (repeat).
  • External Communications: Education → Warning → Temp Bans (3-14 days), permanent ban (repeat).

All enforcement decisions are final and at staff discretion.
